Growing up on WWE, I remember watching The Monday Night Wars. It was the highlight of my week, and I didn’t care if everyone thought it was fake—it was entertaining and great showmanship. I also watched rival WCW, and that was my favorite with personalities like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Roddy Piper and many more. Their verbal battles were as legendary as their costumes. WWE is still going full force, and the fact there are more women in the ring is amazing. Chicks fighting chicks is just hot.
So, of course, I got very excited, when I found out that I would be interviewing Joe from Grappling Girls in Action. They have something for everyone—all types of women from petite to amazons to BBWs taking on smaller men, average-sized guys, and even other girls. If you’re wondering what Grappling Girls are, they train in martial arts, mainly the grappling arts. It’s not a requirement to be an expert or tournament champion. Ability is king…or should I say queen. Most of the matches take place on mats, but sometimes beds. If you haven’t visited Grappling Girls in Action on Clips4Sale https://www.clips4sale.com/grappling-girls-in-action, or visit their flagship site: http://grapplinggirls.com – you’re missing out on some of the best wrestling out there.
How did you come up with the idea of having a wrestling studio? Did you have a wrestling career or were you on the wrestling team in high school or college?
I came up with the idea back in 2000 when grappling was becoming popular in MMA. I felt as if a 180-pound man could defeat a 260-pound man in a real fight, then a 130- pound woman would be able to defeat an average-sized untrained man in real life.
You pair larger women (BBWs and amazons) with smaller and/or athletic men. Many people are into the giantess fetish. This also harkens back to classic wrestlers like Andre the Giant. How did you come up with the idea? And are these some of your best-selling clips?
The idea is simple. Most people feel when they see videos of a woman beating an equally sized man to be fixed or fake.
Unfortunately, the majority of matches you see all over the place are matches where the male actually holds back and lets the female win. When we match up a giantess vs. a small male, it is more believable that the larger opponent would prevail without the male opponent having to hold back.
Is it possible for an average sized woman to take on a larger, more powerful man and win? And on the converse, how likely is it for a man to a larger woman to defeat a smaller man?
When an opponent has skill, size really is not an issue. However, the skill has to be much higher than the larger opponent. You can see this as fact if you watch MMA and especially back in the day when “Pride Fighting” in Japan was pitting small skilled men vs. giant men.
Before you started the store, were you a huge fan of wrestling and WWE? And who are your all-time favorite wrestlers?
Actually, not really a fan of WWE, but more of an MMA fan.
Who is your favorite wrestler you’ve filmed and why?
We have filmed many favorite wrestlers, and it would be impossible to say who is the favorite that we have filmed. But, a few come to mind who have spanned a decade and have a huge following: Amazon Anya, Kaycee (Lifting men overhead), Lucy, Crystal, Shannon Logan (BJJ Champ), and LizVeyron have all been pioneers for GrapplingGirls.
You have an impressive number of clips…over 1,700. How long have you been producing clips? And what are some of your favorites?
We have been making videos since 2000, and have been posting clips on Clips4Sale since 2004. Our favorite clips are the competitive ones. Clips featuring LizVeyron were very intense and other girls vs. Nikolas are good matches, because he actually was able to win a few submissions here and there and push the girls to the limit.
Many of your clips are men vs. women. You do feature women taking on other women, which is hot. What’s your personal favorite and why?
We prefer Female vs. Male matches, but some Female vs. Female matches are interesting, such as Milah vs. Amanda or Amazon Vanessa vs. Iron Baby. We also have some BBW vs. Bodybuilder or BBW vs. Amazon matchups that are intriguing. Most of the Fem vs. Fem matchups have been customer recommendations.
Your clips feature many remarkable wrestling moves mixed kinky fetishes. What are some of the wrestling moves you like the best? And which ones turn you on the most?
We have actually invented holds that are now a mainstay in the wrestling video industry: The Tarantula, The Mermaid, and various foot/Shing Chokes. The ones we like the most are, of course, the scissor holds.
How do you find the talent for your clips?
We find the talent for our clips mostly through word of mouth. It all started with one of our wrestlers named “Lillith”. She was finding girls for us for years. From that point on, we always tell the girls to ask their friends if they want to make extra money. We also had girls who worked in clubs and they had access to hundreds of potential girls. A few of our girls were involved in basketball, volleyball, and CrossFit, and had many friends who were interested in making some extra money on the side.
On your site grapplinggirls.com, you mention that you have trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners who train the girls. What type of training regimen are the girls put through?
Our website does mention trained grapplers training the girls and most of these were girls who were shooting for us at the time. What we would do is to bring the new girls and have the trained girls train them. This would make the new girls more comfortable having a female train them.
Many of the fighters on your site and in your clips have some martial arts backgrounds. What is the average level of training and endurance most of the girls have?
We have featured many trained martial arts girls, some with mostly kickboxing and some with pure grappling. Some of the girls have won national championships including Helen Von Mott, Shannon Logan, Kyla Luciano, Cypruss Allure (Judo), the BJJ Princess (Jiu-Jitsu champ), Whirlwind (Collegiate style wrestler), Clarisse (Tae Kwon Do), Zoey (Karate), Clarire (Karate), Terra Titan (Gymnastics), Legsy Lexi (Swimming), and many others.
You were one of the first sites to feature Shannon Logan and Kyla Luciano whom both won national and international titles including Grapplers Quest and NAGA. How did you convince them to work with you? Do you have any other wrestlers with a similar background on your site?
Yes, we were the first site to focus on Jiu-Jitsu and Shannon Logan at the time was a big name and her friend was Kyla Luciano. When we became friends with Shannon, she told us about her close matches vs. Kyla and we quickly contacted her.
Both Shannon and Kyla liked our site because it focused more on competitive grappling than kinky fetish. Both girls told us they liked the real matchups and how our videos showcased the female skill vs. the male size/strength. Another celebrity among our roster is Black Belt Helen Von Mott, who was our inspiration and the first female instructor at UFC.
What and/or whom haven’t you filmed that you would like to?
We would like to film a girl that is close to 7 feet tall.
I’m sure our readers will like to keep up with you. How can they find you? Where can people follow you on social media?
We do have a Facebook, but the best place to follow us as far as our latest updates and happenings would be http://grapplinggirls.com. Most clip store owners do not have websites and rely on Twitter and Facebook. However, we have kept our website as a tradition, which is to fully cover our latest news, including plenty of pictures.
